We read with interest the paper by Papastergiou et al., who aimed to cross‐validate nine prognostic indices for short‐term mortality in an independent cohort of biopsy proven alcoholic hepatitis (AH) patients. In the USA alone, 60 000 patients are admitted to a hospital for AH each year, signifying the importance of these prognostic scores. [...]
